Weddings, wedding and more weddings

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

This summer is made up of weddings in our house. Last evening we attended a wedding for one of Mary Beth’s friends. It was held outside and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful bride. Mary Beth was in the wedding. We have showers to attend. Another wedding to go to in July and Mary Beth’s in August.

Before going to the wedding, I managed to get my contest material in the mail. With that done, and the sun shining after 5 days of rain, I painted the handrails on the front of the house. Nick and I will finish some more painting this week if the weather holds.

The Heat is On

I’ve been working all week to get material ready for two writing contest. I been working around a computer that had to be sent off to be repair, at only 4 months old. I had to retype some of the material and the dead line is looming. Zach went to work this week at a place for people with difficulties where they pack things for companies. To top it off we are starting to gear-up for Mary Beth’s wedding. If I wasn’t already a list maker, I would have to start being one.  Nick is work on getting stuff together for a scholarship.

Holiday Weekend

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

I think this is the first year in over ten years that I’ve not been out of town the first week school was out. Because Andy had back surgery we are having to hang close to home. I hope that with this surgery he will have some relief from pain. Nick is out and about with friends. He comes home just long enough to tell us he is leaving again. I would like for him to find someone to play tennis with. He’s not up to a long game but just some good exercise. I will have to work on that. It is so nice to see he doing better everyday. Still needs to gain weight. For that he just needs to follow me around and eat what I eat.  It seems to work for me.

Another one down

Zach graduated from high school tonight. He was so proud. He followed directions to the T and there were no slip ups. He will start work in a program on Tuesday. We will see how that goes and what he will do after that. Drew will graduate in December and Nick – sometime in the future.
