I love to read, but I can remember when I didn't do a lot of it. As high as 53% of the people living in the United States don't read even one book in a year. I want to challenge you to read at least a book this year. More would be great.

The Challenge:

1. The book can't be a children's book you are reading to your children, or work related. It has to be a book that you are reading for pure pleasure.

2. You can have read the book before, but you must re-read it during 2009.

3. Books can be either fiction or nonfiction.

What you need to do:

When you finish a book come to my website and email me letting me know your name, the name of the book, the author, and what you thought about the book. I will publish the information on the Reading Challenge page of my website.  

For each book read you get a point. You can earn additional points by telling me about a visit to an independent bookstore, one of the big guys(Barnes&Noble,Books A Million, etc) library or that you have joined a book club. If you tell me you have seen or asked for my book in a bookstore or library you get a point.

Each reader will be included in a drawing for an autographed copy of "Nick's New Heart." The reader with the most points will recieve a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com
